Antibodies  >  OptimAb Antibodies  >>  OptimAbᵀᴹ P-Glycoprotein 3(MDR3), Monoclonal Antibody, purified

Product Name OptimAbᵀᴹ P - Glycoprotein 3(MDR3), Monoclonal Antibody, purified
Clone: C219; Host: Mouse, Monoclonal Antibody
Size 100 L
Catalog # SIG-38710-100
US$ $146
Description

C219 targets P-Glycoprotein 3, also called multidrug resistance protein (MDR) 3, with cross-reaction to MDR1.
C219 recognizes an internal, highly conserved amino acid sequence (VQEALD & VQAALD) found in both MDR1 and MDR3 isoforms of P-Glycoprotein.
The specific binding of the clone C219 was stronger in epitope sequence VQAALD (N-Terminal fragment) than the epitope sequence VQEALD (C-terminal fragmant) (Georges E., et al., 1990, PNAS 87, 152). Analysis of P-Glycoprotein expression in skeletal and cardiac muscle revealed that C219 cross reacts with a 200 kDa protein that migrates in the same position as myosin. C219 has also been reported to detect the 185 kDa c-erbB2 protein (Liu, et al., 1997). Care should be taken in the interpretation of true positive P-Glycoprotein expression when using myosin-containing tissues or tissues known to have p185 c-erbB2 expression.

Host:Mouse
Clone: C219
Isotype: IgG1
Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat, Dog, Primate
Immunogen: This antibody was made against SDS-solubilized plasma membranes of a multidrug resistant Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell line and a human cell line
Concentration:Lot specific
Formulation:PBS + BSA + 0.1% sodium azide; The Ab is purified
Applications:The Ab is effective in immunoblotting (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunocytochemistry (ICC) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Positive cell lines: drug-sensitive parental cell lines and their multidrug-resistant derivatives. Positive tissue: human liver (positive staining detected along luminal surfaces of bile canaliculi) or human colon (positive staining localized to luminal surface of secretatory epithelium).
Working Dilutions:IHC: 1/25 for biotin-based detection systems
